Saudi Arabia's SDAIA has awarded a local technology company a project to strengthen the backup systems used to recover data when systems fail.
Al Moammar Information Systems Co. (MIS), a Saudi-listed IT company, announced the SR86mn ($23mn) award.
The work covers upgrades and expansion of backup and recovery systems, licence renewals, technical support and operational services.
#WhyItMatters: Moving more services online increases the importance of keeping them running. Backup and recovery systems help organisations restore information after outages or other disruptions. For local technology suppliers, that creates opportunities beyond building new systems, including maintaining the infrastructure already in use.
