Humain, the Public Investment Fund's artificial intelligence company, has taken in CNTXT, a Saudi cloud and data firm, giving it a team that already installs technology inside companies and government agencies.

CNTXT has joined Humain, the company said on Tuesday. It didn't disclose terms or say how much of CNTXT it now owns.

Who CNTXT is: the firm was set up in 2022 by Aramco and Cognite, the Norwegian industrial software company. It sells cloud services, data and analytics, AI and cybersecurity, and runs systems for clients after they go live.

What Humain gets: a ready-made customer list across the private and public sectors, plus CNTXT's own software products.

The gap it fills: Humain builds data centers, computing power and AI models. CNTXT is the part that sits with the customer, taking a project from planning to running it day to day.

"CNTXT joining HUMAIN significantly expands our ability to deliver AI where it matters most: inside the enterprise," said Tareq Amin, Humain's chief executive.

The Aramco link: the move comes two days after Aramco agreed to buy 49% of Humain and fold its own AI and digital assets into the company. Humain didn't say whether the two deals are connected.

Why it matters: Humain is preparing for a stock market listing and needs to show investors steady revenue, not just spending. Corporate clients that pay for setup and ongoing support are the kind of income that story needs.

What to watch: whether Humain discloses CNTXT's revenue or customer numbers, the first sign of how much the deal adds.
